Beta Beta Lambda Chapter

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Delta Epsilon Sigma Chapter was founded in Nassau, Bahamas on May 19, 1978. This chapter was chartered because Bahamian brothers felt that they needed a local outlet (Alumini Chapter) for brothers who had just graduated from college in the U.S.A.

The Five Charters were: Rev. Enoch Backford, now a renown Baptist Minister in The Bahamas; Kevin Hanna, now a bank executive at The Bank of The Bahamas; William Dean, now a tourism official in The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism; Danny Strachan & Freddie Munnings Jr.

The ongoing quest of SigmaBahamas is to serve The Bahamas as a leader in the local Greek world. This is being accomplished by providing and endorsing meaningful social activities, making available opportunities for scholarly endeavors, and most importantly, attracting and maintaining a collection of young business-minded men who possess high morals and socioeconomic standards. However, without them the organization would cease to exist and its ideals would perish.
